*Bman is seen walking through an airport carrying multiple pieces of luggage. He is wearing a UCLA baseball cap, a Quicksilver t-shirt, cargo shorts, and skate shoes, as well as dark wire-rimmed glasses.*
You know...I've been to a lot of places. Trained at the New Japan Dojo in LA. Even went overseas to learn from the best of the best. Muta, Lyger, Kobashi, Tenryu, ever heard of em?
It wasn't all girls, gold, and glory, either. First two years I was there, I spent more time washing dishes and writing haiku than actually learning to wrestle. But make no mistake. I AM a wrestler. My will to be champ is unquenchable. And let me tell you something: from what I've seen of OTB so far, I'm psyched to join up. And oh man, main event on my debut show? You gotta be kidding me.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not just gonna ride the wave of feel-good, happy to be here. I'm gonna make something of myself. I've got my foot in the door. I'll show respect along the way, not just cuz I have to, to fit in. But I was raised that way. Comes with being Asian. And now, not all Asians are obsessed with anime, are good at DDR, can draw, play piano and violin, suck at driving. None of that.
Don't think you can stereotype me. Why is it that every Asian-American, or any ethnicity I see in this business, always gotta play some goofy-ass, ridiculous, caricature of a gimmick? I'll get over on my own, thank you. That's why I like the OTB. No time for nonsense, check all the crap at the door and bring it in the ring. That's the way its gonna be.
Now, I gotta beat five other guys just to get in that Fatal Fourway, and another three to stand tall in the end. Amazing athletes all of em, phenomenal even. But that'll just make it all the sweeter when my hand is raised in victory. One man will be left standing at One Ring. That man will be me, Bman.
