Everything's been going awry for the past few weeks. First, Easton recovers from his injuries in another fed, only to find out that the man that injured him was not only wrestling elsewhere, but was on the rise towards being a main eventer. So he did what all natural hunters do; he tracked him. Tracked him to a place called Only The Best Wrestling. Tracked him all the way to Madison Square Garden. Tracked him right down to the ring. Beat him in the center of the ring.
And for what.
For the world title shot that Crusher would have gotten if he won? No, Easton does not get a world title shot. For pride and redemption in taking out 'Too Good' for good? No, BomberJake stole that glory. So what does Easton have to show for it? He has a shot at becoming the first ever OTB Television Champion.
And he has goons.
Easton could easily call these goons "no-name jobbers," because in all reality, that's what they are. They came down to help Tommy Crusher, but failed. They came down again after the match to fulfill their debt to Crusher. And they failed. End of the story....if this were reality. But no, instead these goons attacked Easton again last week. He got the best of one with the evenflow. He got the best of another one with yet another evenflow. And then, the numbers game grasping a hold, he fell victim to a cutter. Right in the middle of the ring. For the first time in his OTB career, Easton was on his back. And he did not take kindly to the view.
But to make matters worse, he has to hear about it backstage. Not from people he respects. Not from people he listens to. From Punks....literally. Before this a dislike was not there for EZ Punk and IB Violent. No, far from it, Easton Hall likes those guy's style. They come out there, do what they have to do, and go home. Sleep, eat chips, whatever. They don't dwell on it like Easton does and Easton envies then for that. He had no problems. And then they decided to play jester. Desides to make a mockery of what Easton has gone through in recent weeks. Decided that it was funny that Easton had just got his lights dimmed in the center of the ring. Funny that some unknown man not only attacked him, but then used his signature taunt against him. Somehow, Easton was not laughing.
And so now Easton teams with Willie Bard, to fight these Punks of Hardcore. Easton, the man that works alone, must tag in order to finish the job he started. He must bring a weapon to the ring to even the odds of a barbed wire wrapped guitar. Easton doesn't trust weapons. Weapons are like alcohol...with them everyone gets a little over-brave. But if that's the playing field, Easton will play. And everyone elses cards are on the table. A ladder...a guitar...a shilleleigh. What will Easton bring to the table?
Until now, all we know is that it is a mystery box. Inside of it contains the fate of the Punks of Hardcore. And if the goons should happen to attack this week as well. Inside of it lies the fate of them. You want to see what Easton brings to the ring.....
.....watch him Monday.
