Alright, things have been sliding downhill recently, which happens as the summer hits and everyone starts doing a million different things. The lack of commitment to RPing has subsequently led to my thinking of how to further continue the OTB. In response, there are going to be major changes to how OTB proceeds in the future. If you are planning on leaving OTB, there's no need to read on:
1) After this weeks show, there will be a major revamping of the roster and website. I'm going to spend the 4th and the 6th finishing all of this up.
2) I'm going back into a major recruiting drive effectively immediately. Many of the people on the roster now will not be on the roster come the end of this week. If you are let go, it's because you haven't performed, plain and simple.
Now, to the big changes:
1) The future of OTB, to compete with other generic feds, is that we are going to be an MRP/RP fed instead of the general RP thread. How this works is that, once your match is set up, a thread will be opening on a "Match Roleplaying" Forum. The exchange will be as follows
Wrestler X puts up their entrance
Wrestler Y puts up their entrance
Wrestler Y starts off the match
Wrestler X continues the match
Certain matches may allow each person to write 2 portions of the match, but most will follow that format. From their, the staff will come up with an ending based on who won the match.
NOTE: This does not replace regular RPing. There will no longer be a max for RPing, so you will be able to RP to your hearts content about whatever the hell you want.
Scoring:
70% RP 30% MRP
Granted, not everyone is a skilled match writer. This builds up your match writing skills dramatically, that's for sure. It's how I learned how to write the matches you all enjoy today ;D But, because of that, more weight will still be put forward to RPs.
Now, this will not effect the status of our current champions. You will maintain your titles. What this does mean is that there will be a transition period that everyone needs to adjust to.
That's all I have for now. What I need from the roster is that anyone who is still going to be around OTB, I need you to reply to this message.
IF YOU HAVE NOT REPLIED TO THIS MESSAGE BY THURSDAY YOU ARE OFF THE ROSTER! *except people I haven't spoken to who are inactive or on hiatus.
Anyone questions or concerns, please feel free to PM me.
Oh, side note, I just moved into a new apartment and my internet doesn't get hooked up til Thursday so bear with me a couple more days. Also, I start LSAT classes Monday and Wednesday nights from 6-9:30 in a week, so that's nights expect not to get in touch with me til late.
** Now, if this all falls through, we have another initiative that I have put some thought into that has nothing to do with e-fedding, but that many of you will enjoy. Just a fall back plan. If it comes to that point, I'll be in touch with you. **

Hmmm, i'm not intending on quitting here, not at all. But that sounds a bit far fetched, the whole match writing bit. And i like the RP cap... seein' as i am in England and have scarce time to RP as it is.
You may think that being 5 hours ahead of you yanks isn't such a problem. But actually it is. Last night i got out of bed to check some downloads i was doing and found that BomberJake had put up another RP. That was cool, no problem there. The problem i had was that it was 12 oclock at night and i had work at 5 this morning... hense i might've seemed a little rushed. It's more of a dis advantage than you think... and this new concept piles on the pressure.

Umm......dude, the match writing thing almost never works and usually kills feds, we just need to find some consistant RPers and we'll be fine. Some people don't like to write matches and may turn them off from us.

To be honest, if I actually understand this idea, I don't like it at all. I think how things are now, is fine with me. Some people just have little rough times, like I did this week, but that's over.

People join feds to roleplay, but don't expect to write matches. That's what match writers are for. May I make a suggestion? Don't answer the question. Book fewer matches. Fewer matches means less writing, and even if we had so many superstars that it'd make every second match a tag match or a triple threat or a fatal four way, that'd mean a higher percentage that someone would roleplay. Currently, there have been difficulties in getting people to roleplay--I don't see how expecting people to write matches is going to help matters. We're having enough trouble as it is for them to show up for a match and it's more than unlikely that they'll even post their entrances.

I'm glad i'm not the only one. This past week has been the only week where i've been able to actually think out a roleplay before i wrote it! That's sayin' something about time shortages for me. Writing matches just heaps the pressure on.. and at the end of the day, i'm only doing this for fun. I've got enough things putting pressure on me now a days... an e-fed isn't going to be one of them.
As was said, we just need 10 or so constant roleplayers, even if they ain't the best. This fed's had a good and lucky start, believe it or not. I've seen feds close in 2 weeks due to no one signing up. At least we've been noticed.

Another thing i think we need is some storylines going. Not just Wrestler A vs Wrestler B... We need something to roleplay about. I don't particularly like just taking my opponents RPs to bits, i like something to go along with. Just an idea..

Well happy 4th to all of you.
Ok, so my experiment went off as planned. To let you know, there was no plan to really go to an MRP fed, that'd make no sense because if people can't RP, how are they going to write stuff.
But, I needed a shock value post to see who all would respond, and as expected I got the usual suspects.
BomberJake Summer Saul Deamon
So, as you can see, we have a shortage of ACTIVE wrestlers, which needs to be addressed. So, we are going back into a recruiting drive to find some dedicated RPers.
Unfortunately(but happily) I just moved into a new apartment this past weekend and my internet won't be installed at the new place for a couple of days. This means that for the near future I'ma be back and forth online, usually only being on when I'm at work.
Now, I've been approached with something also that I want you guys to consider if we can't find enough suitable RPers. With Xnet being MIA at the moment, I've been approached regarding opening and running an Interfed promotion. We would be in charge of coming up with 1 monthly megashow, weekly ratings of shows, top RPers, etc. etc.
I told them that I would consider it only after speaking to the people who responded to the post, that being you guys. If I were to undertake this task I would especially want your 4, along with Willie Bard, to make up my staff. It'd be a split responsibility thing, with each person picking an area that would suit them (storyline, recruitment, weekly top 5, show ratings, recaps, whatever).
Anyway, that's where we stand now. Bear with me while I try to get this internet situation squared away, but in the mean time if you think you'd have an interest in helping run this interfed let me know here.

'Fraid not. As you know my time is extemely limited so i cant help you out on that one. I jus think concentration should be 100% here and trying to get OTB established first. Clear the crud off the roster and, as you said, recruitment drive.

I agree with Saul on that as well. We just need to clear off all the members on here that aren't going to RP for their matches. I say put up the results and a card when possible. Whoever doesn't RP, without an excuse, gets the boot.

I'M BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!
Boston Pops, fireworks, Stephen Tyler and his plastic face singing. GT's.
Ok, about the merger. If it's with CWF, DON'T DO IT![/b][/size] He tried to merge with the now dead WWA, and was a jackass about it.
Two, our non RP'er problem. I agree with Summer and Saul that we need to get rid of these people. They're weighing us down and making us look bad. But, I have a solution for the problem that works for everyone.
First of all, we should postpone all PPV's until this problem is solved. We don't want to be putting on crappy PPV's with no shows. We want our PPV's to be the best they can be, with everyone involved RP'ing. 2nd, when making Vendetta cards, you should make matches that involve one person who will, without a doubt, RP. (unless they let you know they can't) Then, put them in a match with one or more people who are questionable. And if they don't RP for their match, cut them. This works for everyone because they people that do RP will get a free win, and we'll be throwing off some excess weight, if I may. And, this works in favor of match writers, because it is MUCH easier to write matches when someone RP'ed. I know personally, in one fed I was in I had to write a match where no one RP'ed and there wasn't any info on the people because the fedhead never put their info up. It sucks.
Now, I agree with Jake also that we should book less matches. Maybe 3 or 4 to a Vendetta and that's it, just until we get back up.
Finally, I know what you're thinking, and it is true. This method doesn't leave much room for good storylines. But, unless we get rid of this problem now, it won't matter. Storylines don't work if one of the people involved no show.

Hey Bard, good to have you back.
1)I wasn't talking about a merger. It would be us in charge of a group of other feds(a la X-Net) but that's not going to be the case.
Anyway, I've done some creative behind the scenes work and here's what is going down as of now.
Active Roster: BomberJake Deamon Cohln Summer McCoy Willie Bard Saul Hudsen Sean Rage Soldado Fortun Odin
Inactive: EZ Punk/IB Violent
Now, I have worked out an angle to address the latest hiccup that will provide a big storyline(something you'll remember Bard) and kick us off with another bang. It would however require a big facelift to the fed itself, though I think you'd enjoy it. In any event, if you guys are still in then consider us a launch and I'll get cranking.
Ohhh, bigger question. Starting in 2 weeks I have my LSAT classes to get ready for my Law School Test. I have classes Monday and Wednesday Nights from 6-9:30 (if I haven't mentioned this already). I'm wondering, given the 3 RP limit, what the best day is to have the RPing deadline and show. I usually like to include the weekends to let people RP, so I'm thinking maybe a Thursday Night Show(plus, during basketball season this is my off day). Anyway, if a Thursday Night show would work for you guys, I'm going to get started on this storyline ASAP while I've still got the internet at work.

Oh, and about Unfinished Business.
Due to the lack of turnout and the subsequent issues with my moving and not having internet, we're going to do a modification to that show.
Summer, you won you're match and keep your title.
Deamon/Bard....pay close attention to the storyline coming up.
Jake/Saul...great work this week, sorry it came at unfortunating timing. In honestly I can say I haven't gotten response back from 2 of the judges regarding the winner, so we are going to do the only fair thing I can.
When ______ starts , there will be a Re-Match for the World Heavyweight Title between you two. However, this will be a special kind of match, because each of you will only get ONE rp to decide this match. To make things more interesting, your RPs will be sent to me personally, not posted on the board. This will require you to be creative, original, and put your best stuff together into one task...in short, the winner will have truly earned the title. So the pressure is on.
Once I finish this quick turnout (and if you guys know me, you know when the creative evil gets buzzing, things begin to happen) I will post a modified special show that you'll need to read, plus some other very important info. Thanks for the patience, you won't regret it.
